London Salon Hershesons have launched a nationwide campaign - Hair for Heroes - to give NHS frontline nurses free haircuts.

On Monday 12th April hair salons and hairdressers will be allowed to reopen their doors as England starts to ease out of lockdown. Central London salon Hershesons will not only be welcoming back their customers but will also be launching their new nationwide Hair for Heroes campaign.

The #hair4heroes initiative was created by CEO Luke Hersheson as a thank you to the NHS nurses who have worked so hard over the past 12 months, putting their lives at risk to look after the nation.

“We all know how tirelessly nurses worked during the pandemic to take care of us. Now we want to take care of them in the best way we know how – by giving them great hair and making them feel good,” he explained.

Hershesons salon hairdressers will each offer up one hour a week of their time to give NHS frontline nurses free hair cuts and blow-dries and are encouraging other salons to get involved too by offering as much time as they can.

Together with his father, chairman and founder Daniel Hersheson, they have enlisted 25 other salons nationwide to take part and our in conversation with 100s more.

Each salon is encouraged to post about their participation on their own Instagram channels and nominate three other salons to take part in the hope that it will spread to all four corners of the UK, giving nurses the chance to visit their local salon nationwide.

Salons taking part will be able to download a digital campaign certificate acknowledging their participation

The campaign will run from 12th April until 30th September 2021 and both nurses and salons can find out how to take part by clicking the link below.
